Terms of service
1. The service
Kynscope (the service) is published by Mohamed Ait el hadj, a private individual (the publisher). It scans websites whose ownership you have proven, keeps the evidence of what it found and explains how to fix it. During the beta the service is free and provided as is.
2. Who may use it
Kynscope is open to individuals and professionals alike. If you are under 15, use it with the agreement of a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
You create an account with a verified email address and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for what is done with your account. One workspace can be created per account during the beta.
4. Scanning only what you may scan
You may only register websites that you own or that you are explicitly authorized in writing to test. Kynscope checks ownership with a DNS record or an HTTPS file before any scan and stays within the registered origin.
You must not try to bypass these checks, scan third-party systems, disrupt a service, or use Kynscope against the law. A breach of this section allows immediate suspension of the account.
5. What the results mean
No scanner finds every vulnerability. An empty report means that nothing was found within the tested scope, not that a site is secure. Security alerts report a possible exposure from the versions observed, not a confirmed vulnerability. Remediation guidance is generic unless stated otherwise and must be reviewed before it is applied to production.
6. Limits, availability and changes
Beta limits apply (number of sites, scans per day, one scan at a time) and may change. The service may be interrupted for maintenance. Before stopping the service or substantially reducing it, the publisher gives at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard, except for an urgent security reason or a legal obligation, so that you can export your reports.
These terms may change; the version you accepted is recorded and a new version is presented to you before it applies.
7. Liability
The publisher takes reasonable care to provide an accurate and secure service (an obligation of means, not of result) but does not guarantee that the service is uninterrupted, error-free or that it detects every vulnerability.
You remain responsible for the websites you register, for your decisions and for any change you apply to your systems. The publisher is not liable for indirect damage, nor for the consequences of guidance applied without review.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor the rights that consumers hold under the law.
8. Data and termination
The privacy policy describes the data processed and how long it is kept. You may close your account at any time by writing to contact@kynscope.com; your workspace data is then deleted within the retention periods stated there.
9. Law and contact
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the competent courts determined by law; if you are a consumer, you may always bring a claim before the court of your place of residence. Contact: contact@kynscope.com.
